Rules of Play
Muddy Paws Resort strives to provide a safe, fun-filled atmosphere for your dog to play, relax, learn, and grow. We have a few rules to help us maintain this experience for our clients. Please adhere to the following guidelines:
VACCINATIONS
All dogs attending boarding, daycare, or training must provide proof of vaccinations prior to being checked in on the day of services. Required vaccinations include rabies, distemper, and bordetella. Muddy Paws reserves the right to refuse services for any dog without current vaccinations on file. Flea and tick preventative is recommended but not required.
PUPPIES
Puppies are allowed to attend our Puppy Preschool class at 8+ weeks of age after receiving one set of puppy vaccines from their veterinarian. Puppies may only attend daycare, boarding, and day training after providing proof of two sets of puppy vaccines AFTER the age of 8 weeks. This will include bordetella, two sets of distemper combinations, and rabies.
GROUP PLAY EVALUATIONS
Many of our clients enjoy playing with other dogs in large groups, but group play isn’t for all dogs similar in how many people don’t enjoy busy crowds of people. To keep everyone safe, we require all dogs to pass our evaluation to be eligible for playgroup in either daycare, boarding, or day training. Evaluations are recommended to be scheduled during a day of daycare, but can also be completed at the beginning of a boarding stay.
SPAY/NEUTER POLICY
Muddy Paws is happy to provide services to unaltered males, but we do require all male dogs participating in group play to be neutered by 9 months of age. Unaltered females, when not in season, are welcome to attend group play.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Reservations are required for all services. In the event you need to cancel a reservation, the following guidelines will be followed.
Boarding: A non-refundable deposit will be required for all reservations made over peak times and for all new clients. If a cancellation occurs 7+ days in advance of check-in date, a credit will be applied to the client’s account to be used for any service. If cancellation occurs within 7 days of the reservation check-in date, the deposit will be forfeited.
Daycare: Please make every effort to communicate changes to daycare reservations with our front desk. Muddy Paws reserves the right to charge for daycare in the event a client no-call, no-shows for daycare.
Grooming: Clients are asked to communicate any cancellations or the need to reschedule an appointment as soon as possible. This allows our grooming team time to fill the appointment slot. In the event a client no-shows, cancels, or rebooks within 24 hours of an appointment 3 or more times, Muddy Paws reserves the right to require a $50 appointment fee to book an appointment. The $50 fee will be used towards the grooming invoice or will be forfeited in the event the client no-shows, cancels, or rebooks within 24 hours of appointment.
